History


Founded in 1988, Kaplan-Schmidt Electric has completed over $150 million dollars in various projects Over the past Twenty-three years.

The President of the company is Eric Schmidt. Eric has also been a member of IBEW for the last 23 years. Eric holds a college degree in Construction Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology. Eric was previously Superintendent of Steo Electric in Rochester, New York. Kaplan-Schmidt has grown from a two man shop to a maximum of 95 employees. Kaplan-Schmidt currently has 45 permanent employees including three estimators, two superintendents and eleven foremen. Kaplan-Schmidt is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Lang to our estimating staff. Jeff formerly of Billitier Electric, has completed several public and school projects in the past few years. Jeff's addition to the company will help secure a profitable future for Kaplan-Schmidt.Mike Grasley has joined the office as a project manager. Alan Stock leads up our service division Kaplan- Schmidt is proud to service our customers from our new 13,000ft. location at 50 Saginaw Drive, in Henrietta, New York. Kaplan-Schmidt excels at fast-paced design build projects. We are currently working at East Irondequoit Schools, Monroe County Crime Lab, and Churchville-Chili Schools
